Type: Crucial Talk – Panel Discussion
About: KAICIID’s established platform Network for Dialogue gathers faith-based and civil society organizations working on social inclusion of refugees and migrants across Europe, using dialogue in their work. Several organizations will share some of their main challenges and possible solutions for the organizations working at the grassroot level with refugees and migrants in transit countries.
The panel discussion aims to address following questions:
* How can interreligious and intercultural dialogue support the work of NGOs and FBOs on issues regarding social inclusion of refugees and migrants?
* How can we speak about social inclusion in transit countries?
* What is the role of the programmes FBOs and NGOs are offering for integration processes in the destination countries?
In the discussion, along with Network member organizations, speakers will include representatives from the European Commission DG Home Office Greece and religious leaders from the Serbian Orthodox Church. The aim of the panel discussion is to propose several recommendations in dialogue with policy makers and religious leaders which can raise awareness on the important role of transit countries for refugees and migrants in Europe as one step closer to integration in their destination countries.
