amsterdam goes online

Due to the pandemic we had to cancel the IRL  practitioner meeting in Amsterdam. The first real full AWoN meet-up will therefore be fully online. So whether you planned to participate in Amsterdam or not – welcome to join the online meetings 9 – 10 December!

We have designed a couple of meet-and-work sessions that are fun, inspiring and possibly very fruitful. For the first time, the AWoN cohorts will be mixing and matching and co-creating in order to make our shared hopes and dreams happen together.

Don’t miss out and be assured: We need you all to be here. As somebody once said:

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Well, let’s go far, let’s go together!

Two things we will do these two days:

  • Getting to know each other (better).
  • Designing a work process together (sharing dreams and thinking up tasks).

We suggest six different Working Groups for parts of the sessions of Thursday and Friday.

  1. Youth participation (how to involve youth in the work we do)
  2. Social cohesion/receiving communities (how to replace polarization by cohesion)
  3. Advocacy, activism and policymaking (what works, how to strategize and cooperate?)
  4. Interreligious praxis and keeping our humanity (how to use the strength of religions?)
  5. Empowerment, education (how to empower newcomers and host societies?)
  6. Other –please feel free to exemplify.
