Every year, the AWoN Network gathers in a special location for the most cherished time of the year for our community.
It’s a moment to come together in person, to connect, learn, inspire and be inspired, to support and be supported. A time to renew our spirits and reaffirm our commitment to our vision – a Europe that is diverse, humane and welcoming.
Our next Summit will take place in Poland in September 2025.
AWoN’s 5th Annual Summit is around the corner and we are very happy and grateful to announce that, for the first time this year, it will be be co-hosted by our local partner-organisation and practitioners from MEERU!
From September 15th to 19th, 30 AWoN members, migration practitioners coming from 13 European countries and with roots all over the world, gathered in the east of Poland for three days of connection, retreat, on-site learning and collective organisation.
“May you live in interesting times” – is a supposed curse. Interesting meaning: times of turmoil and darkness. Well, A World of Neighbours is created for interesting times.
Over the course of four days, 46 participants from 17 countries participated in A World of Neighbours Summit in Greece.
“You have strengthened my immune system through your compassion, cooperation, and altruism”, said Mirna Nadra from Syria, living in Finland, onboarding the unique AWoN community.
A World of Neighbours’ second annual meeting. It concluded June 1 with a new board and advisory board in place, priority areas determined for the next two years and most importantly – renewed energy.
