Petr was born and raised in Prague. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social work from Charles University. Since then, he has been working as a social worker, focusing on migration issues for the past eight years.
Initially, he worked for the state-established organization Správa uprchlických zařízení (Administration of Refugee Facilities) within the State Integration Program. This program aims to help newly granted asylum seekers utilize the financial resources provided by the state for their integration.
After his tenure with this organization, Petr transitioned to the non-profit sector, joining Diakonie ČCE for the DOMA (Home) project. He is now the project leader of DOMA, which aims to overcome xenophobia by facilitating meetings between natives and immigrants.
