Following an initial community-building meeting in Warsaw, YAWON now enters a key moment of its first year: an in-person gathering in Brussels from 8–12 April, focused on co-creating the first YAWON Call to Action magazine.
Participants living in Poland and the Netherlands will work together with CitiZine, facilitated by Annette Kouwenhoven and Mohamed Bah, to produce a one-issue digital magazine. The magazine brings together stories, images, and artistic expressions rooted in lived experience and presents a collective youth Call to Action for a diverse and welcoming Europe.
The magazine will be published online, and each participant is invited to present the magazine to a politician or decision maker and challenge them to respond to the youth Call to Action.
The Brussels gathering takes place alongside the A World of Neighbours Board & Network meetings, allowing exchange between youth and experienced practitioners and strengthening intergenerational and cross-sector dialogue.
YAWON Brussels (8–12 April) is both a creative lab and a civic action space—bringing youth voices directly into Europe’s political heart.
